DESIGN FOR OPERA: Polyeucte

A closer look into the design, set build and prop-making for the acclaimed and award-winning British premiere of Gounod’s opera Polyeucte at Theatre Royal Stratford East in London. Presented to audiences by UCOpera in March 2018.

Polyeucte won Best Design at the Arts Colours Awards in London. In 2019 the production was represented in the exhibition Staging Places – UK Design for Performance 2015-2019 at the Prague Quadrennial and at the V&A.
